In order to continuously enhance the ability of faculty members and students in searching the e-resources in the Library, we constantly liaise with database vendors to offer a variety of training for our subscribed products. A new series of such training sessions is scheduled as follows:

Database Training Sessions

Venue:  Bibliographic Instruction Room (RC03), Ground Floor of the Library

15th November 2007 (Thursday) 3:00 pm–4:00 pm  Academic OneFile It is a database of journals and reference sources with some full-text articles on physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects.

22nd November 2007 (Thursday) 3:00 pm–4:00 pm  RefWorks It is an online research management tool that allows users to store personal records of bibliography and to format in a variety of citation styles, e.g., APA, MLA, and Chicago, etc.

29th November 2007 (Thursday) 11:00 am–12:00 noon (First Session) 3:00 pm–4:00 pm (Second Session)  (You may join either session) WestLaw International It is an online research service, offering the collection of legal and regulatory information.

The speakers are from the database vendors respectively. There will be explanation and demonstration on the system functions of these databases that the Library users should be aware of when operating.
