In order to support faculty members and students in their teaching, learning and research, the Library has already acquired a substantial number of electronic databases. In order to maintain the most updated versions for these databases and seek the best platform for access, the Library constantly liaises with database vendors to find the most user-friendly interface for our users to try out before purchase. The EI Compendex is the latest one of this kind.

EI Compendex -- It is a bibliographic database on engineering research, containing over 9 million references and abstracts taken from over 5,000 engineering journals, conferences and technical reports. We note that the latest version of this database is an online one instead of the CD-ROM version, and should enable a more effective and efficient access. Please try it out athttp://www.engineeringvillage.com until 30th November 2006.
